With more than 18 years of experience in the construction and real estate industries, John is the driving force behind MG2. After emigrating from Ireland at the age of 20 and sharpening his skills in the construction industry, he bought his first property in 1991. John then founded a construction and remodeling business which expanded to include property maintenance and management. He is a recipient of The Irish Immigration Center's Solas Award, the Ireland Chamber of Commerce's prestigious Emerald Award, and was included in The Boston Business Journal's "Top 40 Under 40" list.
As MG2 Vice President, Joe oversees all aspects of MG2 operations, including the property management subsidiary, construction subsidiary, financing activity and acquisitions/dispositions. With more than 20 years in the real estate industry, he brings with him extensive knowledge and experience of operational oversight for multifamily and commercial real estate companies and property management and financing.
As Vice President for Finance MG2 Group, Erica is responsible for the financial management and accounting functions of the firm and a member of the Executive Leadership team. Erica has more than ten years finance and accounting experience in the property development and real estate accounting industry. Prior to joining MG2 in 2009, Erica worked in public accounting as an Auditor with O’Connor and Drew PC. Erica has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a dual degree in both Accounting and Finance from Nichols College. She also has an MBA from Nichols College.
Since 2013, Sharon Pinto has been the Director of Human Resources and Administration for MG2. Sharon has over 20 years of extensive global Human Resources experience. She has held executive and senior level positions with companies such as United Technologies, Entegris, Seagate, General Dynamics, and Polaroid. In Europe, she held positions with Racal Electronics (UK), Gildemeister AG (Germany), and Eiffage-Bouygues SA (France). She has Bachelor of Arts Degree from Reading University (England) and Master’s Degree from Suffolk University. She is Six Sigma Green Belt certified and a member of SHRM and IHRIM.
Steve Carter is the Vice President for Grid Management, LLC, MG2’s property management company. He joined the company in 2016, as Director of Operations for The Grid District in Worcester. Steve has been a driving force in The Grid’s success and MG2’s participation in the revitalization of Downtown Worcester. As Vice President, Steve has taken on responsibility for operations and management of the growing MG2 East Boston Portfolio and MG2’s commercial property portfolio. Steve has over thirty years of broad based operations experience in the hospitality sector of the industry. He has held executive and senior level positions with Holiday Inn, Midland, Radisson, Remington and Sheraton hotels. Steve has a Bachelor of Arts Degree as well as an Associate’s Degree from Johnson and Wales University.
